Effective January 1, 2006, the Maine Board of Bar Examiners has raised the minimum required score on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination ("MPRE") from 75 to 80.

Each applicant for the February 2006 or a subsequent Maine bar examination, and each applicant who submits an application for reciprocal admission pursuant to Maine Bar Admission Rule 11A after January 1, 2006, must provide evidence that the applicant has achieved a score of at least 80 on the MPRE before they will be eligible for admission to the Maine bar.
